Claverack Electric recently donated to three local organizations with matching gifts from CoBank, a national cooperative bank serving vital industries across rural America.

Steve Allabaugh, President & CEO of Claverack Rural Electric Cooperative, stated, "We are proud to uphold our commitment to supporting the well-being and prosperity of our communities through these donations. With the support of CoBank, we have directed funds to organizations including Endless Mountains Health Systems, Susquehanna County Interfaith, and Interfaith Friends of Wyoming County. Our aim is to make a significant impact on the lives of our neighbors and further strengthen the fabric of our local community."

The donations are part of Claverack REC’s ongoing commitment to supporting the communities it serves. The cooperative has a long history of giving back to the community through various initiatives and programs.

Claverack funded its share of the donations through the cooperative’s community services grant program. The program utilizes member donations and unclaimed capital credit refunds to support non-profit organizations that work to improve the lives of those within the cooperatives’ service territory. The grant program does not affect member electric rates. #sharingsuccess
