Operation Round-Up

It Just Makes Cents.

What is Operation Round-Up?

Operation Round-Up is a member-to-member program helping struggling members with their electric needs. By donating a handful of change each month, you can help!

Operation Round-Up allows members to round up their electric bill to the next even dollar amount. The extra change goes to a fund to help families in Claverack's service territory who are experiencing a financial hardship. By donating your spare change, you can make a difference in a neighbor's life. It's an inexpensive way to help each other through tough times.

Contributing is Easy

The concept is simple. We just round up your electric bill. For example, if your electric bill is $40.32, then your bill would be an even $41. It could also make balancing the family checkbook much easier. An average yearly donation is about $6. Add your $6 to that of other participating members, and we can really make a difference to help those in need.  Simply fill out the easy form below or call our office to have the option added to your account.

** If You'd Like to Help Even More - NEW OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE **

In addition to the traditional Round-Up program, you can add an extra dollar amount to your donation each month.  Simply enter the even dollar amount that you would like to add to the Round Up Form below or call our office and ask your member service representative to make the change for you.  Your bill will reflect the total amount donated each month.

If you would prefer to make a one-time donation to Operation Round-Up, that option is also available.  Enter the one-time amount in the associated field below, and we will add that to your account.  With the next bill you receive, the amount of your donation will be added to the total amount due, and you will see it listed as "Roundup Amt."

A Few Pennies Can Make the Difference

Each year, hundreds of Claverack members receive energy assistance in the form of government money. That financing is often targeted in congressional budget cuts - so help for needy families is never certain. That's why we began Operation Round-Up - to help more members.

There are certain guidelines to qualify for benefits through Claverack's assistance programs.

Be a Good Neighbor

If you would like to help fellow Claverack members, Operation Round-Up is an easy way to do that.  Simply fill out the form below, and we'll add the option to your account.  If you no longer wish to participate in the program, just let us know.  Please call 1-800-326-9799 or 570-265-2167 with any questions.
