Claverack and its partner cooperative, Tri-County, have jointly endowed a scholarship that is awarded to an entering freshman at Mansfield University who is a member of either Claverack or Tri-County or whose parents are members of either cooperative. The scholarship recipient must demonstrate the highest traits of leadership, citizenship ad character and have a demonstrated financial need; applicants must complete and file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Preference will be given to students who have been involved in Youth Tour. Scholarships may be renewed annually for up to eight semesters depending on availability of funds. Scholarships are not automatically renewable. |
The Pennsylvania Rural Electric Association Scholarship Trust Fund in Memory of William F. Matson is offering scholarships to sons and daughters of members and employees of electric cooperatives in Pennsylvania and New Jersey who belong to the Pennsylvania Rural Electric Association. Applicants must currently be high school seniors and be able to furnish necessary aptitude test scores and financial need information. |
This scholarship is in memory of Jody Loudenslager, a 1995 Pennsylvania Rural Electric Association Youth Tour student from Trout Run, Pa. Jody was among the 230 passengers killed July 17, 1996 when TWA Flight 800 exploded shortly after take-off from New York. Since Jody was committed to higher education, the scholarship was created to honor her and help Youth Tour participants with college costs. This scholarship is available to any college-bound or college student who was selected to participate in the Pennsylvania Rural Electric Association Youth Tour. Applicants need to furnish necessary aptitude test scores and financial need information.
The Glenn English Youth Tour Alumni Scholarship is available to all former Youth Tour Students; however, applicants must have been in college for at least one year to apply, enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited university or college, considered at least a second-year student at their school and working on completing their first undergraduate degree.
The Glenn English National Cooperative Leadership Foundation Engineers of the Future Scholarship is available to all college students who are enrolled full time in an ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering & Technology), four-year program of electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology, and have at least a "B" average in major subjects. In addition, applicants must have already received academic credits equal to at least one year of college. |
