About Revolution Broadband
Claverack Rural Electric Cooperative brought electricity to our rural region in 1937. Now we’re bringing much-needed fiber internet to many in Claverack’s service territory. Our goal is to serve members who don’t already have access to affordable high-speed internet service. And not just any internet — the most reliable, fastest internet the area has to offer.
Our subsidiary, Claverack Communications, was established in 2022 to build our fiber network, and Revolution Broadband is the brand name of our 100% fiber-to-the-home service.

Why Revolution?
The word describes just how important we believe broadband is in the lives of the people we serve. The internet is a revolutionary technology, allowing us to have access to untold information and convenience at our fingertips. At the same time, internet service that is accessible, easy, and reliable in rural areas has also become revolutionary, as service is often too slow, too expensive, or unreliable. Broadband internet delivered via a fiber-optic network is considered future-proof technology, meaning it will serve your needs for years to come. Our service will bridge the rural digital divide, and it’s all for you — our members.
The current funding we have received is not adequate to provide service to all of our unserved and underserved members, but it’s a great start. We will continue to explore additional funding opportunities in the hopes that we can one day provide service to those members.
In addition, our new fiber network enhances performance, reliability, and efficiency in Claverack’s entire electric distribution system. Real-time communication between electric substations, field devices, and our offices will allow us to monitor the health of the grid, detect faults, and make adjustments to prevent potential issues. Faster restoration and reduced outage times will benefit all members.
